SAH Project Newsletter: A new generation of innovators

Let's celebrate this 10th Edition of the SaH newsletter! In this edition, you will learn more about the opportunities digitalization may bring to young people in rural areas.

After our successful event on the 25th of October connecting young farmers, DIHs and decision-makers, we want to further focus on the new generation of farmers striving to achieve more resilient and sustainable agriculture.

Generation renewal is one of the major challenges and opportunities in rural areas. Young farmers need to be at the centre of food systems, especially those innovating in agriculture. So why not make this newsletter all about young farmers: who they are, what they do, and what they can tell us about their own experience?

For this 10th edition of the SmartAgriHubs newsletter, we invited Diana Lenzi, president of CEJA, to write the Editorial on young farmers in the digital age. We also invited young farmers from across Europe to be part of our Taking Stock section. Farmers from Italy, Austria, France or Ireland share with us the opportunities digitalization brings to them. Finally, learn more of the latest developments of the SmartAgriHubs community in the section What's New!

Last but not least, with the Magnitude section, we decided to put the spotlight on the different shapes and forms of DIHs and Competence Centres.

Stay in touch with your Regional Cluster if you would like to feature in future SAH Newsletters, they will let you know when there is an opportunity for you!

We hope you will enjoy the read and don't forget to check the LXP platform for new training opportunities and to take the survey for our Gender Task Force!
