On 18th of November BASSCOM has participated in “ICTalent in Bulgaria – Doing business in the Bulgarian ICT sector” in Dublin. The one day seminar was organized by the Bulgarian Embassy in Ireland and Bulgaria Invest Agency, in cooperation with Deloitte Griffith College Dublin, and with the assistance of Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and Irish Business and Employers Confederation.

It is the first event that aims to raise the awareness among Irish investors concerning the “talented” labour force in Bulgaria. Representatives of more than 25 Irish companies attended the seminar. Pavel Ezekiev, CEO Invest Bulgaria Agency described the investment opportunities in Bulgaria. The chairman of BASSCOM George Sharkov offered the attendees a presentation focussed on the profile of the Bulgarian software companies. Delyan Lilov, CEO, Musala Soft Ltd gave the example of Musala Soft as one of the Bulgarian success stories. Leo O’Brien, Director, International Office, Griffith College Dublin presented Bulgaria’s human resources potential in IT. After the discussion the seminar was closed with SoftWine cocktail.
