ICB on an EU Business Mission to Japan
ICB is one of the forty EU IT companies selected by the European Commission to represent the EU IT sector on a EU Business Mission to Japan, going to be held in December 2009. The project is funded by the EU Gateway Programme – a European initiative aiming at boosting the trade relations between the EU and Japan. The event is going to be supported by the Delegation of the European Commission to Japan and is going to include a series of events focused on facilitating the business contacts between the EU and Japanese companies.
The EU Business Mission is designed to suite the individual company needs and to support the companies in establishing the right business contacts. Among other things it is going to include preliminary training in Brussels, a study tour, a two-day exhibition, and individual business meetings in Japan.
On the Business Mission to Japan, ICB is going to present its technology expertise and solutions. One of the most innovative ICB solutions is DOC-TOOLS. Doc-Tools is an integrated software solution for generation and management of vast product documentation. Doc Tools is suited to be presented to companies which have the following characteristics: 1) they deal with a big number of components (the companies need to compile them in the execution of their orders); 2) they offer unique (client-specific) solutions; 3) they have a big number of customer orders.
ICB is a Microsoft (MS) Gold Certified Partner and is specialized in using the leading MS technologies. ICB approach includes a thorough analysis of the business process model of the respective client, elaboration of the requirements for the information system so that to improve process efficiency, and custom design of the software system itself.
Among the current ICB achievements are:
• The Cash Service Company core system SAFE CASH developed by ICB, which manages 2 billion monthly, is nominated for 2008 IT project of the year by ComputerWorld;
• 80% of the Norwegian banks perform cash deposit processing with EASY SAFE, developed by ICB;
• Kongsberg Maritime recorded millions in savings due to the application of DOC TOOLS, a radical software solution for document generation which led to cost reduction of 30 times;
• NATO Naval Academy educates ship navigators with POLARIS software simulator, in the development of which ICB has taken part together with Kongsberg;
• ICB is the first Bulgarian company nominated for the prestigious European ICT Prize.
